How to Make an Application:
Please take the time to firstly understand whether you can make an application to the Foundation by carefully reading the information in the How to Qualify section. Importantly you must be sure that:
1. Both your organisation and project are eligible for submission; 2. Your project meets our funding criteria and 3. You are aware of your obligations should funding be provided.
Please note that only projects in the areas of the arts and health can be considered by the Foundation.
The Harold Mitchell Foundation has created a streamlined and paperless application process.Applications to the Foundation can only be made on-line using our on-line application form. We do not accept hard-copy submissions nor do we require annual reports, financials, references or testimonials.
The Harold Mitchell Foundation will make contact with you directly if further information is required. When you complete your application on-line please:
ensure that you complete all fields;
limit your project description to 10,000 characters (including spaces). We do not require referees, resumes or extensively detailed descriptions of your project at this stage of our application process;
address how your project fits the funding criteria within the project description section. Note that you do not need to meet all criteria to be eligible for consideration of funding. It is acceptable to only meet one of the criteria; and
ensure that your project summary is limited to around 1500 characters (including spaces) and provides a brief synopsis of the key intent or aim of your project.
Once you have started completing your application you will be able to save it during the stages of your completion and also save and print a final version.
When you have submitted your application to the Foundation, you will receive an email receipt acknowledgement and an application number. Please ensure that you record the application number the system allocates to you in case you need to contact us at any time.
